Antique Cabinet with Green Chinoiserie Finish

This 1920s antique cabinet crafted for storage and display features a stunning Chinoiserie finish. Portions of the detailing are raised to provide a three-dimensional feel and depth. The green polychrome is complimented with lovely scenes of Chinese mountainside village life, and finished with lacquer. Queen Anne styling is seen throughout the piece, exemplified by the wide kneed pad foot cabriolet leg and the center shell motif on the backsplash. Two blind door cabinets flank the center glass door display cabinet, which has two glass shelves that are deeper than the side cabinets. More storage space can be found in the drawer above the glass door. The wide top of the piece offers additional display room as well. The unique look of this antique cabinet would add quite a bit of “wow” to an entryway, dining room or living room!
